I've had this idea for a long, long time. I feel like in order for people to really care what you have to say, you have to first start talking and giving your opinion on it. There are always going to be people who dislike your opinion, but that's not the point. Whether they like it or not they may still look forward to the next opinion you have about whatever topic you're talking about.
No one will even notice your opinion until you start to give it. No one will go out of their way to ask you what you think about a certain topic. There are too many people in this world for everyone to always be checking up on everyone else. Put yourself out there. Start talking about how you feel and what you feel. Try to be as positive as possible in your approach. Constructive criticism is fine, but no one wants to listen to a whiner, someone always singing the blues. That can get annoying very quickly. If you're positive, as long as you're genuine, it'll be a breath of fresh air for those who matter.
I think everyone is scared to provide their opinion on things, unless they're hiding behind a random username on the internet. These people who do tend to be bad eggs. Facebook is filled with this. It's sad that the most vocal of us tend to be the most biased and skewed. Their opinions hold little weight because of that fact. So I say rise above this.
